HAMSA'LEH

A hamsa (an amulet that is believed to provide defense against the evil eye)that incorporates both Eastern design esthetics and European esthetics in order to show the diversity of the Israeli people. The hamsa itself is made out of metal with a gold plate and is built like an embroidery hoop.

Between the two metal shapes there is a specially embroidered fabric which incorporates traditional European floral design with the "evil eye" symbol traditionally seen on a hamsa.
